Project n. KA220-SCH-949E6E22
AIM
Stichting Onderwijs Midden Limburg (SOML), the lead organization, in partnership with distinguished collaborators from across Europe, is proud to announce the approval of the Erasmus+ Programme for the European Project – KA2 Cooperation Partnerships in School Education, titled EdutainSTEM: Leveraging STEM Education to Build Resilience and Foster Socio-Emotional Success.
The EdutainSTEM Consortium consists of seven partners from six EU countries (Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Cyprus, Malta), forming a robust transnational cooperation partnership with comprehensive geographical representation across the Erasmus+ region. Each partner brings unique expertise, deeply connecting to the project’s target groups of teachers and students aged 10-14. With profound knowledge in innovative pedagogical approaches, the consortium is poised to address key challenges and engage stakeholders in shaping the future of STEM education.
AIM
The EdutainSTEM project aims to address the disruptions caused by the pandemic to traditional learning environments by placing a strong focus on students’ well-being and socio-emotional learning (SEL). It seeks to counter learning losses in STEM subjects while fostering resilience and adaptability among both educators and students. Central to this initiative is an innovative AI-powered app that will integrate interactive, edutainment-based learning experiences, reshaping classroom dynamics and equipping students for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
On a broader European scale, EdutainSTEM aims to strengthen educators’ skills in assessing and nurturing students’ development, enhancing collaboration and trust between students and school staff. The project also aims to pilot successful practices on a small scale, providing valuable insights for national policymakers on effectively incorporating SEL into STEM education.
