Third Transnational Meeting, InteaM4IEd 20th – 22th September 2023, Spinho – Porto
On 20th and 22th of September the third TPM of the EU-funded project “ InteaM4IEd – Innovative Teaching Methodologies in Hospitality Schools for Inclusive Education” took place.
“For many people on the autism spectrum, access to affordable assistive technologies is a prerequisite to being able to exercise their basic human rights and participate fully in the life of their communities, and thereby contribute to the realization of the SDGs. Assistive technology can reduce or eliminate the barriers to their participation on an equal basis with others.”
United Nations
InTeam4IEd project that aims to support teachers and tutors in dealing with developmental challenges associated with ASD students of post-secondary (initial) VET in the hospitality sector, as well as to assist them in acquiring expendable skills both within the education system and externally in the hospitality industry.
Inclusive education of people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is often framed in terms of human rights or justice. Notwithstanding, the economic dimension for educating people with disabilities is also very relevant. Lack of appropriate education remains the key risk factor for poverty and exclusion of any person, whether they are disabled or not.
The Consortium met together in Spinho, Porto, hosted by SPEL to have an overview of the project progress and discuss about the available deliverables, the activities in progress and the ones to be fulfilled.
Partners will see again on June 2024, in Italy!
